Launch, Toggle between applications – Set Kiosk and Power modes – Keyboard – Hot Keys

Button Monitor Features

  • Any Button can be set to launch applications – IE preset to a home page i.e. BBC News
  • Select a URL to launch as a full-screen home page
  • Power-saving screen saver timer
  • Set IE to locked down kiosk-mode – great for web device control
  • Add sound to button presses
  • Power down manually if desired.
  • Deactivate Buttons altogether for passive display mode
  • Monitor Button activity from custom applications through the GPIO

Factory Default Settings

Button 1 turns the screen off/on (manual screen-saver)

Button 2 activates the keyboard in browser mode

Button 3 is the one that goes to the Borg home page

Button 4 with the Alt-tab.

Application developers have access to button activity to enact commands, routines within their own applications.  Note that the bezel icons CAN be customized in our Rapid OEM process made easy.


Power Consumption:

Pro8 AMD GEODE LX800 CPU:

1.      Running at its full power (LCD on, playing video clip, also playing music with its volume at maximum): 12W.

2.      Idling with LCD on: 9.5W.

3.      Idling with LCD off: 7.4W

 

Pro8a Intel ATOM 1.6GHz CPU:

1.      Running at its full power (LCD on, playing video clip, also playing music with its volume at maximum): 17.7W.

2.      Idling with LCD on: 15.8W.

3.      Idling with LCD off: 13W

 

Pro15a Intel ATOM 1.6GHz CPU:

1.      Running at its full power (LCD on, playing video clip, also playing music with its volume at maximum): 25.7W.

Configuration Tips:

VGA output can be an extension to the control screen.

Upload applications in Windows Start Folder if you want it to always launch on power up in case or power failure.

Set Button 4 HotKey to Alt+Tab to toggle or cycle through full screen applications running.

HAI - upload Snaplink to a folder per their instructions.  Place .exe in Startup Folder. Configure Button Monitor - Button 3 to loca traffic cams, then Button 4 to ALT+TAB between Snaplink and IE Browser traffic cams.
